Sailing Experience: 

Previous owner of 1985 35′ Wauquiez Pretorien Sailboat. Primary sailing areas have been Minnesota fresh water lakes, Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands, the Virgin Islands and the Pacific coast around Los Angeles, CA. I am also a PADI Master SCUBA Instructor with extensive experience in the Caribbean and on Lake Superior.

USCG 50-Ton Master’s License through Great Lakes Charter Training. Documented over 720 days of sea service which included sufficient time to earn sail and Great Lakes endorsments on the license.

Sailed the Bon Aventure from Los Angeles down the Baja and up into the Sea of Cortez to Guaymas/San Carlos.  Handled the navigation portion using Chartplotter, hand held GPS, printed and digital charts.

My teaching experience included American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, Advanced First Aid, PADI SCUBA courses at all levels and College training in public speaking.
